Our strength in healthcare innovation empowers us to build a world where complex diseases are prevented, treated, and cured, where treatments are smarter and less invasive, and solutions are personal. /p h3Job Function /h3 pMedical Affairs Manager – Orthopedics (Italy) /p h3Job Locations /h3 pApril / Utrecht / Belgium / Ireland /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liServe as the primary medical and scientific expert for assigned orthopedic products and therapeutic areas in Italy. /li liDevelop and execute local medical affairs plans aligned with global and regional strategies. /li liProvide medical input into clinical studies, post‑market surveillance, and real‑world evidence activities. /li liSupport investigator‑initiated studies and collaborative research in compliance with company policies and local regulations. /li liDeliver high‑quality scientific exchange and education to healthcare professionals, including presentations and advisory boards. /li liPartner with Regulatory, Quality, Marketing, and Commercial teams to ensure accurate, compliant medical content and product communication. /li liReview and approve medical materials to ensure scientific accuracy and regulatory compliance. /li liMonitor medical trends, clinical literature, and competitive activity to inform strategy and decision‑making. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liAdvanced degree in a scientific or healthcare discipline (MD, PharmD, PhD, MSc in Life Sciences or related field). /li li6–8 years of experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Affairs, or a related scientific role within medical devices or pharmaceuticals. /li liDemonstrated knowledge of clinical research, evidence generation, and medical compliance standards. /li liExperience engaging with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders in a scientific, non‑promotional manner. /li liStrong analytical, communication, and presentation skills. /li liAbility to work effectively in cross‑functional, matrixed environments. /li liSolid understanding of local (Italian) healthcare systems and regulatory requirements. /li liExperience in orthopedics, trauma, sports medicine, or related surgical specialties (preferred). /li liPrior involvement in clinical trial management or post‑market clinical follow‑up (preferred). /li liExperience supporting product launches or lifecycle management from a medical affairs perspective (preferred). /li liFamiliarity with European medical device regulations and clinical evaluation requirements (preferred). /li liLeadership experience mentoring junior medical or clinical colleagues (preferred). /li liFluency in Italian and English (written and spoken) is required. /li liUp to ~30% domestic travel within Italy; limited international travel as needed. /li liValid driver’s license required for field engagement. /li /ul h3Salary Benefits /h3 pBase pay range: €65 000 – €106 950.
