Responsibilities
* Understanding of Industrial Automation and Control Systems
* Deep knowledge of automation principles used in steelmaking, including sensors, actuators, and control systems
* Familiarity with automation components and safety practices
PLC Skills and Programming Software
* Proven experience with PLC technologies and software like Siemens and Allen-Bradley
* Ability to program PLCs for standard applications, creating efficient, optimized, and scalable software
Software Commissioning and Optimization
* Capability to commission complex plants and implement software functions in steel environments
* Accuracy in PLC coding and ability to optimize and modify existing software for performance and bug fixes
Diagnostics and Troubleshooting
* Proven ability to quickly identify and resolve PLC and device faults
* Skill in analyzing diagnostic data and using debugging tools to find root causes and implement preventive solutions
Personal Characteristics
* Problem-solving orientation with promptness and accuracy
* Ability to work effectively on software prepared by others, optimizing and enhancing functionality
Requirements
* Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Automation, or related field
* Proven experience in PLC software programming, preferably in industrial automation and steel sector
* Deep knowledge of main PLC programming languages like ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagram
* Familiarity with major PLC brands like Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric, etc.
* Ability to interpret project requirements and translate them into effective software solutions
* Excellent problem-solving skills and capacity to work under pressure in demanding industrial environments
* Willingness to travel for system installation and commissioning support
* Strong communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
