The Amazon Center for Quantum Computing (CQC) team is looking to hire an Electro-Mechanical Assembly, Integration, & Testing (AIT) Specialist. Candidates must have experience in assembling and testing complex electrical and mechanical systems. The candidate will work with cryogenic systems, microwave electronics, and support hardware.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical assembly, hardware integration, and servicing of cryogenic test setups.
- Maintain and organize R&D lab infrastructure and facilities.
- Coordinate with stakeholders on reconfiguration requirements, documentation, scheduling, and integration of new devices.
- Collaborate with cryogenic hardware engineers on assembly, integration, and testing of novel cryogenic RF/Microwave hardware.
- Document and communicate hardware integration and reconfiguration processes, ensuring accurate documentation.

The Amazon Center for Quantum Computing (CQC) is a multi-disciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and technicians, on a mission to develop a fault‐tolerant quantum computer.
Basic Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a related technical field.
- 2+ years of mechanical and electrical integration or assembly experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with precision electro‐mechanical assembly (e.g., parts cleaning, mechanical tolerances, torqueing requirements, cable management).
- Experience and knowledge of precision mechanical tools.
- Experience working with cryogenic test setups (e.g., dilution refrigerators).
- Experience with the assembly and testing of microwave (e.g., semi‐rigid coax) and low‐frequency wiring harnesses.
- Excellent craftsmanship in mechanical assembly.
- Ability to assemble, test, rework, and maintain PCB electronics and cable assemblies.
- Familiarity with CAD tools for viewing and manipulating models (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor).
- Familiarity with MS Project.
- Familiarity with manual machining.
- Curiosity and capability to rapidly research and learn new techniques or technical topics.
Export Control Requirement
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be either a U.S. citizen or national, a U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum, or be able to obtain a U.S. export license.
