Summary The mechanical engineer is a fundamental element of all our products. This position will be a core member of the Electro-/Mechanical Engineering Staff, reporting directly to the NPD Manager. The successful candidate will perform mechanical engineering design professionally, including: Responsibilities Perform mechanical design and development using 3D CAD software (Creo preferred, but not mandatory). Adhere to standards for mechanical engineering best practices. Deliver innovative, optimized engineering solutions. Meet design requirements within budget and schedule. Maintain high personal integrity and respect others. Challenge ideas and solutions constructively. Conduct initial structural analyses to ensure design fit-for-purpose. Design, analyze, optimize, detail, and validate new mechanical and electromechanical systems. Ensure product meets all functionality, performance, cost, and quality requirements. Ensure design robustness and product quality through diligent validation testing. Visit customer locations with Sales and Product Management to understand needs and concerns. Collaborate within cross-functional teams and communicate effectively across all levels. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar discipline. Minimum 5 years relevant technical experience. Fluent in English (mandatory). Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time. Key Competencies Share and seek good practices to improve skills. Work effectively within timeframes. Contribute to manufacturability improvements through collaboration with engineering and production teams. Proficiency in 3D CAD tools and engineering systems.
