Lead Buyer Electronics & Components (m/f/d)
Location: Cittadella (PD) – Italy. Type: Full-time.
Responsibilities
Strategic management of assigned product groups to maximize overall value, strengthen purchasing power and consider the total cost of ownership (price, quality, delivery performance, risk profile, innovation, safety, sustainability).
Implementation and execution of strategic purchasing processes aligned with the functional procurement strategy.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Main point of contact for suppliers regarding commercial and contractual aspects.
Develops and implements the category strategy for the assigned product groups in agreement with Global Sourcing.
Manages supplier relationships, evaluates supplier performance, and promotes performance improvement and supplier development initiatives.
Carries out procurement activities (requests for information, evaluation of bids, clarification of discrepancies, preparation of negotiation strategies, execution and recording of negotiations, creation of contracts, and preparation of the award decision while considering quality, safety and sustainability criteria).
Determines negotiation strategies in coordination with Global Sourcing and acts as negotiator.
Responsible for making framework agreements available to the Purchasing Team.
Collects and analyzes data relevant to risk management and the definition and implementation of risk mitigation measures.
Manages commercial aspects, including the implementation of this procurement channel, contracts and price controls, and timely approval of prices.
Reporting line & Governance
Works within the Sourcing organization in close alignment with Procurement leadership and Global Sourcing, combining operational autonomy with coordinated oversight on strategic topics.
Performance Orientation
Responsible for delivering measurable results and maintaining key procurement performance indicators, ensuring continuous improvement across the assigned categories.
Profile (Qualifications)
Technical diploma or (preferably) degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or related fields.
7+ years of experience, preferably within the power electronics industry or comparable technology-driven sectors.
Knowledge and Skills
Procurement strategies (global/local sourcing, single/multiple sourcing, etc.).
SWOT analysis.
ABC/XYZ analysis.
Make or buy analysis.
Cost structure analysis.
Benchmarking.
Industry/supplier structure analysis.
Value analysis.
Use value analysis/cost-vantaggi analysis.
Negotiation techniques.
Accounting (process costs in purchasing and cost reduction through process cost management, approaches such as TCO and target costing).
Portfolio techniques (market portfolios, market power portfolios, risk portfolios).
Fluent English & Italian.
Strategic mindset, strong teamwork, communication, practical problem-solving, autonomous decision-making, ownership, entrepreneurial attitude, ability to coordinate and align strategic topics.
Adaptability, cross-functional and international environment navigation.
Offer & Benefits
Salary: €45,000 – €55,000, commensurate with market values and dependent on qualifications.
Company canteen (cost €1.30/day).
Company welfare: max €1,000 with a 20% increase if opted in.
