As we both fabricate and erect our designs, 3D Designers play a key role in our organization, acting as the hub of design information from the architect and our engineering team, and translating that information into 3D models, layout and shop drawings, and CNC files used for fabrication on our shop floor and erection on site. /ph3bYour Responsibilities /b /h3ulliCreation of Structural Drawing Sets /lili3D modeling from conceptual phase through to fabrication, assemblies, and installation /liliDesign for fabrication – we build everything we design, so prototyping and close interaction with the shop floor and CNC machines is critical; /liliCreation of fabrication drawings and CNC files; /liliWorking with fabrication crews and CNC machines to ensure models are translated accurately into human- and machine-readable information; /liliProduction of detailed drawings for approval, engineering, and production; /liliLead design coordination with external teams, engineers, and contractors; /liliStandardization of connections, fasteners fabrication techniques to improve production efficiency; /liliContinual improvement of design drafting process to improve efficiency and reduce design cycle times; /liliManage and prioritize tasks to meet scheduled deadlines; /liliMaintaining and growing construction industry technical knowledge. /li /ulh3bPosition Requirements /b /h3ulliGraduate of an Architecture, Architectural technology, Engineering, Engineering Design, Drafting Technology Program, or equivalents; /liliKnowledge in drafting standards and principles; /liliGood knowledge of geometry, trigonometry, and a strong aptitude for spatial reasoning; /liliStrong communication skills and a good understanding of the English language, both orally and in writing; /liliStrong computer skills and proficiency; /liliProficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) software such as Rhinoceros, Revit, TEKLA Structures, and Blue Beam software; /liliKnowledge and experience with timber design detailing would be an asset; /liliA desire to learn and continually develop; /liliTeam player, able to prioritize tasks with exceptional organizational skills; /liliDetail-oriented and strong problem-solving skills. /li /ulh3bWho will you be working with? /b /h3pYou will be working with many of our staff, but directly reporting to our 3D Design Manager in Trento. /ph3bPosition conditions /b /h3pThis is a full-time position.
