Welcome to Amazon Games Bucharest! Joining the existing development teams in Orange County, Montreal, San Diego, and Seattle, we are excited to expand Amazon Games’ commitment to creating and publishing incredible games. We are seeking talented individuals to join our growing team.
We are looking for a seasoned quality assurance specialist, an expert in manual testing, with a passion for games and quality. In this role, you will collaborate with development teams and external QA, contributing to gameplay debugging and polishing across all Amazon games.
Key job responsibilities
* Contribute to overall test strategy, analyze game scope and features, and develop test plans with value-based test cases for assigned areas.
* Partner with game teams, developers, and project QA to align on design intent and quality expectations for owned features and areas.
* Ensure comprehensive testing coverage, report quality defects accurately and efficiently.
* Conduct qualitative analysis based on test results and defects over time.
* Assist in internal status reporting, identify defect patterns, and recommend test priorities and cases.
* Coordinate and mentor QA partners on debugging, test coverage, defect impact, and root cause analysis.
* Provide qualitative feedback and recommendations to improve game quality from a player perspective.

At Amazon Games, our goal is to create innovative experiences that foster community. Our veteran team develops and publishes AAA multiplayer live service games and original IPs, including New World: Aeternum and a The Lord of the Rings-based title, with studios in Seattle, Orange County, San Diego, Montreal, and Bucharest. We also publish top-tier games like Lost Ark, THRONE AND LIBERTY, King of Meat, and the upcoming Tomb Raider entry.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience in QA within the game industry, with proven testing of AAA HD titles.
* Experience testing across platforms such as PC and consoles.
* Knowledge of QA practices throughout the development cycle, including test plans, defect reporting, and analysis.
* Excellent written and verbal English skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience communicating with development teams to align on design and quality expectations.
* Experience working with external QA teams on strategy and coverage recommendations.
