Ensure plant sanitation procedures, programs and regulatory requirements, ensuring all plant equipment is clean and safe for production
Strictly adhere to sanitation, GMP, and safety standards
Perform cleaning and sanitation activities according to Master Sanitation
Schedule for the facility interior and exterior and ensure superior sanitation of equipment and surrounding areas
Mentor and motivate Janitors and Balers on shift, providing training and development to optimize performance and personal growth
Participate in regular meetings with plant management to discuss quality and sanitation improvements
Facilitate problem resolution related to sanitation and sanitation quality issues
Follow up on work orders with the appropriate associates to ensure expeditious performance of the requested work
Monitor the Chemical storage and dispense the appropriate concentration for cleaning activities
Receive and track sanitary and chemical inventory
Monitor sanitation team in the use of chemicals and proper safety procedures, checking inventory levels of chemicals and ordering supplies when necessary
Ways you will make a difference
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals
Basic knowledge of HACCP, BRC food safety and GMP principles
Sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines; self‐directed
Ability to plan, organize and prioritize; ability to work under pressure and meet established goals and objectives
Demonstrated knowledge of efficient and safe manufacturing operations to include product and associate safety, product quality (success rates), throughput delivery and cost control (minimizing downtime and waste, optimizing yield)
Basic computer skills and proficiency preferred
Experiences that will support your success
Minimum of 1 year of proven sanitation experience in the food industry preferred
