We are looking for an enthusiastic Physics Teacher for our Secondary School starting from September.
Promote the school's mission and philosophy.
1. Ensure that planning, preparation, recording, assessment, and reporting are of the highest quality and meet the varying learning and social needs of students.
2. Be flexible and adapt to the needs of the school, actively contributing to development plans and growth.
3. Demonstrate thorough curriculum knowledge, teach effectively, and assess student learning.
4. Be able to teach Physics to secondary-aged students.
5. Use student tracking and monitoring processes to enhance learning and professional practice in line with the school's aspirations.
6. Take personal responsibility for professional development.
7. Communicate effectively as an ambassador for the school.
Learning and Teaching
* Teach Physics up to IGCSE level and ideally up to IB higher level.
* Inspire students to be passionate, curious, and excited learners.
* Set high standards and develop effective learning approaches.
* Monitor, evaluate, and improve teaching methods.
* Plan effective teaching programmes providing excellent learning opportunities.
* Identify and support individual learning needs.
* Maintain high behaviour standards that promote learning.
* Use baseline data to set ambitious targets for student achievement.
* Utilize homework and co-curricular activities effectively.
Personal Specifications
* Qualified teacher with QTS/PGCE.
* Bachelor's degree in Physics.
* At least two years of proven teaching experience in Physics.
* Experience teaching A Level or IB Physics is preferred.
* Good classroom practice and interpersonal skills.
* Evidence of curriculum innovation to engage students.
* Ability to work with parents.
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
* Ability to teach different age ranges and proficiency levels.
* Engage students to perform to high expectations.
* Familiarity with iSAMS is desirable (training provided).
* Commitment to continuous professional development.
* Willingness to develop as a global citizen.
* Understanding of the environment in an international school community.
