Job Description
As a Functional Safety and Cybersecurity Engineer Automotive Applications, you will play a key role in driving innovation and ensuring the safety and security of next-generation automotive systems. Your role will involve designing and implementing state-of-the-art safety and cybersecurity concepts, aligned with international standards to protect the system functionality and enhance resilience across the industry.
In your new role you will:
* Develop and execute proof-of-concepts and reference designs to validate safety and cybersecurity concepts
* Perform safety and cybersecurity risk assessments (e.g., FMEA, FTA, and TARA) to proactively identify and mitigate potential risks
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety and security requirements are met across the entire product lifecycle
* Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 (functional safety) and ISO/SAE 21434 (cybersecurity) standards
* Support the creation and maintenance of documentation related to safety and security processes and standards
* Represent and contribute to the development and refinement of safety and cybersecurity standards
* Participate in industry conferences and events to stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in functional safety and cybersecurity
Your Profile
As a proactive and self-driven professional, you demonstrate a strong commitment to delivery high- quality safety and cybersecurity solutions. Your excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset allows you to quickly understand complex systems and contribute effectively to innovative and reliable solutions.
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
* A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or similar field of studies
* A least 5 years of experience in the automotive industry
* Strong knowledge in automotive and cybersecurity standards such as ISO 26262 and ISO/SAE 21434
* Experience with safety and cybersecurity risk assessments (e.g., FMEA, FTA, and TARA)
* Solid understanding of systems engineering, safety analysis techniques, and cybersecurity principles
* Practical experience with safety and security tools and processes used in the automotive sector
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in multinational teams
* Fluency in English (mandatory)
