Purpose of position The Business Analyst works as a bridge between our RFID core product and customer-specific requirements in the Fashion & Luxury sector. This role involves deep understanding of our RFID technology platform, analyzing gaps between standard functionalities and client needs, and formalizing customizations through detailed specifications. The BA collaborates closely with customers, Project Managers, and Sales to define technical solutions, creates user stories for the development team, and ensures quality through comprehensive testing and validation processes before production deployment. Key responsibilities Requirements analysis & gap assessment: Analyze customer requirements against our RFID core product capabilities, identifying and documenting the delta between standard features and specific client needs Documentation & specification: Own the writing of Business Blueprint (BBP) documents and functional specifications for customer approval Agile development support: Create detailed user stories in JIRA, define test cases, and support the development team with requirements clarification during refinement sessions Technical solution design: Discuss and evaluate technical solutions with Team Leaders and Software Architects to arrive at the optimal solution in terms of time and costs Quality assurance & validation: Execute certification testing post-development, validate solutions meet requirements, and provide final approval before deployment to official environments Customer collaboration: Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions with customers, with support from Project Managers Post-release support: Collaborate with the support team during initial post-release periods to address any customer-reported issues Product evolution: Contribute to standard product growth by collaborating with Product Managers through field collection of customer needs Team coordination: As often the most senior team member, assist in organizing team activities based on PM-communicated priorities Technical troubleshooting: Hands-on involvement in testing activities including log analysis, database verification, and hardware configuration support for developers Multi-project management: Handle multiple customer projects simultaneously, managing priorities and adapting to urgent requests Required skills Experience with Atlassian suite (JIRA, Confluence) for ticket creation, tracking, and documentation Proficiency in SQL and database systems (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL) Knowledge of Figma or similar tools for mockup definition Ability to analyze logs, troubleshoot technical issues, and support hardware configurations Knowledge of Web services (API, REST, Postman) Understanding of both Windows and Linux operating systems Deep knowledge of Agile/SCRUM methodologies Experience in writing and managing user stories Expertise in test case design and execution Proficiency in creating comprehensive technical documentation Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects in parallel Flexibility to handle urgent requests and reprioritize tasks effectively Hands-on mentality - willingness to go beyond pure analyst role when needed Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail Team coordination and leadership capabilities Proactive approach to requirement gathering and solution design Nice to have Basic programming knowledge for effective collaboration with development teams Understanding of RFID technology, supply chain processes, and retail operations in Fashion & Luxury sector (on-the-job training provided) Qualification Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Minimum 3-5 years of experience as Business Analyst, preferably in software products or supply chain/retail domains Italian mother tongue; Good spoken and written English Available for occasional travel in Italy and abroad What makes you successful in this role Ability to quickly understand and become expert in our RFID core product Capacity to balance standardization with customization needs Skill in managing conflicting priorities and urgent requests without compromising quality Willingness to take ownership beyond traditional BA boundaries Experience in environments requiring rapid context switching between multiple projects Seniority level Not Applicable Employment type Full-time Job function Analyst Industries: Software Development Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Temera by 2x Get notified about new Business Analyst jobs in Scarperia e San Piero, Tuscany, Italy.
