Overview
TrueLayer is hiring a Product Analyst to work within our Product team to empower our organisation to make smarter product decisions through robust data insights, clear storytelling, and a deep understanding of how our products deliver value to customers. The Product Analyst will act as a trusted partner to Product Managers, and work closely with the Customer Analyst and cross functionally to uncover insights that shape our product strategy. You'll spend your time translating business goals into measurable outcomes, analysing product data, building intuitive dashboards, and delivering actionable recommendations that drive growth and user satisfaction. This role will be instrumental in uncovering opportunities to improve product adoption, engagement, and satisfaction, and in enabling a data-driven culture across product teams. In return, we'll empower our Product Analyst to be a subject matter expert in product analytics—working on enhancing the process from understanding business needs, to defining metrics, to delivering insights that influence roadmaps. You'll work alongside Data Analysts, Customer Analyst and CSM team, and Data Engineers, with the opportunity to develop your technical skills, contribute to a culture of data-driven decision-making, and help shape the next era of financial innovation.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with product teams such as our front end and EU banking teams to understand and help define their analytics requirements
* Build and analyse data models for key business use cases
* Be a product analytics subject matter expert, conduct deep analyses and communicate insights to the business
* Help cultivate a data-driven culture by providing TrueLayeristas with the knowledge and tools required to self-serve
* Partner with Product Managers to translate business goals into clear data needs and deliver insights that drive product strategy
* Visualise product and country metrics using existing datasets, creating dashboards and reports that are clear for all audiences
* Work with the Customer Analyst to link customer insights with product performance for a complete view of impact
* Work with the Data analysis team who own the databases to turn product needs into queries, assessing feasibility, and aligning recommendations with priorities
Qualifications
* Relevant experience that aligns with the key requirements of the role, demonstrating a proven ability to contribute effectively and drive results
* Proficiency in SQL for data modelling
* Experience with data visualisation, and familiarity with self-serve tools such as QuickSight, Looker or Tableau
* Familiarity with business metrics such as conversion rates, CAC, CSAT, LTV, MRR and experience working with business teams to define and maintain KPIs
* The ability to communicate effectively, simply, and clearly - you can present insights to technical and non-technical audiences, and you love proposing actionable solutions
* Self-sufficiency, the ability to motivate yourself and manage your own priorities and time
* A passion for bringing fresh ideas to the table, and drive things forward without needing direction
* A curiosity to upskill, and work with our Data analytics team to learn about Git for end-to-end deployment in production workloads, AWS / GCP and how to use DBT for data modelling in production workflows
