Overview
NABA, Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti, is an academy for training in art and design. It is the largest Italian private academy and the first to have obtained official MIUR recognition in 1980. It offers first and second level courses in design, fashion design, graphics and communication, multimedia arts, scenography and visual arts, issuing academic degrees equivalent to university degrees. Born in Milan in 1980 by the initiative of Ausonio Zappa, Guido Ballo and Gianni Colombo, it aims to challenge the rigidity of the academic tradition and introduce visions and languages closer to contemporary artistic practices and the system of art and creative professions. NABA has been recognized by several outlets for its design and architecture programs.
