The role oversee s employees, production, quality and distribution to support the consumer-packaged goods business and our CAVA locations throughout the US. The Plant Manager will report to the Director of Operations of CAVA Products. /p /pppbWhat You’ll Do: /b /p /ppulliDirect day to day operations of the plant - production/packaging of our CAVA Products dips and spreads for distribution. /liliManage commissary staff, including hiring, payroll, scheduling, and employee performance. /liliEnsure the highest food safety and quality standards – monitor quality assurance and drive continuous improvement of food safety and quality management systems. Support all regulatory compliance. /liliWork with the procurement logistics team to help manage supply chain, production planning and product movement. /liliPlan and coordinate equipment and facility maintenance projects. /liliServe as the primary contact for third-party operations. /liliEstablish a culture of excellence, trust, and responsibility within the Commissary team operations team that align with CAVA’s values /liliSet the example across department or team of a service mindset /liliEffectively communicate goals, priorities, and action items to direct reports; actively give feedback on progress updates. /liliLead without hidden agenda or preferential treatment. /liliProvide insightful and actionable feedback for our team to develop, and monitor their own performance /liliSupport all team members and serve as a backup for direct reports as necessary. /liliFoster a trusting and supportive environment by actively listening; allow direct reports to grow within their roles. /li /ul /p /ppppbThe Qualifications : /b /p /ppulliA minimum of 7 years’ experience in the food manufacturing industry /liliPrior management experience – Ability to lead/motivate a team, familiar with staff scheduling, knowledgeable of staffing processes, procedures and labor laws /liliExperience in working with ERP and Plant Maintenance software applications /liliSolid understanding of food safety regulations and HACCP standards /liliProcess oriented - Ability to understand and manage personnel and delivery schedules, production quotas and operating within a budget /liliStrong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills /liliExperience with long term capacity planning and vendor management /liliBilingual in English and Spanish preferable /liliBachelor’s degree or equivalent degree/experience in related field /li /ul /pppbPhysical Requirements: /b /p /ppulliPhysical dexterity, ability to lift up to 45 lbs and push/pull rolling bowls, carts, and containers with up to 550 lbs of product. /liliThe ability to work in varied environmental conditions (dry, cold) /liliThe ability to stand and work on feet for 8 to 10 hours at a time /liliMust be able to identify, assess and observe detail /liliAbility to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively. /liliAbility to squat, kneel, bend and twist /liliAbility to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner /liliAllergens: We prepare products with milk and sesame containing ingredients.
