Ph3About The Role /h3 pWe are looking for a Technical Business Analyst freelancer to join our team and act as the bridge between our business operations and the systems that support them. The right person sits comfortably at the intersection of finance and operations on one side, and databases, integrations and ERP tooling on the other. You will not be writing production code, but you should be able to run a SQL query, read a script, follow an API spec, and generally find your way around technical work without needing a developer to hold your hand. /p pbLocation: /b Italy /p pbType: /b Freelancer full-time /p pThis role is hands‑on. Expect to spend your time understanding how revenue and costs are booked, mapping those flows into an ERP configuration, migrating data between systems, setting up small instances, and connecting tools together. We need someone who can sit with a finance lead in the morning to map a process and then by the afternoon be working through a data migration, an integration spec, or an ERP module setup. /p h3What You Will Do /h3 ul liTranslate business processes (revenue recognition, cost booking, procurement, inventory, billing, reporting) into ERP configurations and system requirements. /li liLead and execute small-to-mid scale ERP implementations and module rollouts. /li liRun data migrations between systems, including cleansing, mapping, and validation. /li liSet up integrations and connections between platforms (ERP, CRM, finance tools, data warehouses). /li liConfigure and stand up small instances of ERP and adjacent systems for testing and rollout. /li liDocument business processes, system architecture, and configurations clearly enough that others can follow. /li liWork primarily with finance, operations, and engineering stakeholders to gather requirements and validate solutions. /li liSupport user acceptance testing, training, and go‑live activities. /li /ul h3What We Are Looking For /h3 bBusiness and Process Side (Essential) /b ul liStrong understanding of core business processes, particularly finance: how revenue is recognised and booked, how costs flow through the PL, how a chart of accounts is structured, and how these map into an ERP. /li liExperience implementing or configuring at least one ERP system (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, or similar). /li li3–6 years of experience in a consulting, implementation, or in‑house transformation role. /li liAbility to run workshops, gather requirements, and translate them into clear functional specifications. /li liExcellent written and spoken English; Italian is a strong plus. /li /ul bTechnical Side (Needed, Not As Deep) /b ul liComfortable with SQL — can write queries, join tables, and investigate data without help. /li liAble to read and lightly modify scripts (Python, JavaScript, or similar) to get unblocked on small tasks (vibe coding encouraged). /li liFamiliar with APIs and integration concepts — can read documentation and test endpoints with tools like Postman. /li liComfortable in spreadsheets at a power‑user level (formulas, pivots, lookups, light scripting). /li liExposure to data migration tools, ETL workflows, or middleware is a plus. /li liNot expected to be a developer. But you should not be blocked every time something technical comes up. /li /ul h3Mindset /h3 ul liPractical and delivery‑oriented. We value people who ship over people who only design. /li liCurious about the business, not just the system. /li liComfortable working with ambiguity and figuring things out independently. /li /ul h3Nice to Have /h3 ul liExperience with one of the major ERPs in a hands‑on implementation capacity (not just functional advisory). /li liBackground in audit, accounting, or financial reporting. /li liExperience working with international teams across time zones. /li liExposure to data warehousing or BI tools (Snowflake, BigQuery, Looker, Power BI, Tableau). /li /ul h3What We Offer /h3 ul liDirect exposure to senior stakeholders and real ownership of projects from day one. /li liA small team where your work has visible impact. /li /ul pTo apply, please send your CV and a short note describing one ERP or systems implementation you have worked on, what your role was, and what you would have done differently. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
