Who We Are
Essence of Sicily is a DMC (Destination Management Company) based in Agrigento, specializing in luxury travel in Sicily. We design, organize, and manage tailor‑made itineraries for a high‑spending clientele, collaborating exclusively with travel agencies and travel advisors belonging to high‑end international networks. The company’s positioning in the luxury segment and partnerships with entities such as Virtuoso, Select, and Signature reflect an approach based on service, personalization, and profound knowledge of the destination.
What you will do
You will work in synergy with a Senior Itinerary Designer, but with direct responsibility for your work and the management of your client portfolio. You will handle the design and management of tailor‑made itineraries in Sicily, following the files with autonomy, precision, and strong attention to detail.
Activities take place Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Given the nature of the role, reasonable organizational flexibility is required. On‑call availability during weekends is also required only in case of operational urgencies related to traveling clients, serving as a point of contact for any emergencies.
In your daily work
* You will create personalized itineraries in line with the client's profile
* You will independently manage your portfolio of requests and programs
* You will select hotels, experiences, and services consistent with the required standards
* You will be the operational reference for the client during the trip
* You will update documents and operational materials
* You will communicate in English with international travel advisors, partners, and clients
What we are looking for
Non‑negotiable requirements
* Fluent English: you communicate every day in a professional, clear, and effective manner with international travel advisors and clients
* Real knowledge and passion for Sicily: territory, history, culture, hospitality, and food and wine must be a concrete interest for you, not a superficial one
* Curiosity, in-depth study, and continuous learning of the destination: this role requires the will to know Sicily better and better, to stay updated, to conduct research, and to develop an increasingly solid sensitivity as a specialist of the territory
* Attention to detail: in this job, quality is built in the details, and details make the difference
* Willingness to learn within a structured environment: we are looking for a person capable of growing within defined processes, standards, and a precise working method
Will be considered a plus
* Having gained experience in the travel sector, in an agency, DMC, tour operator, concierge, or in roles related to hospitality and experience design
* Knowing the languages, timing, and standards of the luxury hospitality segment
* Having a concrete knowledge of Sicily, including territories, addresses, and experiences off the most predictable tourist circuits
* Knowing how to use digital and operational tools with confidence, particularly Google Workspace and spreadsheets
* Familiarity and interest in the use of artificial intelligence and digital tools as support for daily work
* Aptitude for rapidly acquiring new technologies and new working methods, with curiosity, flexibility, and a spirit of adaptation
