IT Specialist (Data Center Technician) - People with Disability (PWD), DCO

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We keep the cloud running, supporting data centers and all servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to ensure customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain, and we’re looking for talented people to help.

We are looking for a Data Center Technician to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. Data Center Technicians are the primary resolver who troubleshoot and solve a range of data center infrastructure issues including hardware, fibre, networking, and related problems. This role is intended for individuals with Categorie Protette. You will be part of the Data Center Operations (DCO) team, overseeing the operation and maintenance of the IT infrastructure and hardware for data centers in AWS Cloud regions. You will become the primary resolver for your support team, gain troubleshooting skills on different hardware and software cases, and engage other appropriate solution groups on more complex problems to drive solutions.


Key job responsibilities

* Diagnosing the hardware and network problems, with physical repairs and hardware component replacements
* Performing root cause analysis of equipment failures
* Troubleshooting events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
* Flexibility to work shifts (day/night), including weekends or public holidays for 24/7 data center support.

Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and diligently encourage a world‑class safety culture. Own the safety initiatives and projects to foster a strong safety culture.


Physical requirements

* Regularly work at heights and from ladders
* Work in noisy areas with hotter and colder temperatures than standard office environmental conditions
* May require working in cramped spaces or elevated locations
* Manual handling and lifting of equipment may be required (weight limits in accordance with regulations)
* Valid driver's license and personal transportation required

Basic Qualifications

* IT hardware troubleshooting related experience
* Completed formal education/apprenticeship or training in IT related field
* Good English communication


Preferred Qualifications

* Basic knowledge of Linux and experience with network protocols and in Data Center
