Our fast-growing Technology startup sennder Italia is looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our Finance Team. The role is based in Milan and reports to the Head of Financial Statement and Tax.

The Accounting Specialist will maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring invoices are properly booked according to the service level agreement with the outsourcer.
You will work closely with the Service “Amministrativo Partecipate di Poste Italiane” (bookkeeping outsourcer), and collaborate with accounts payable, receivable, and treasury departments.

* In this role, you will:
* Handle general ledger bookkeeping, monitor service levels, and manage reconciliations.
* Reconcile cash and account balances to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Support month-end closing activities, including accruals, in collaboration with Poste Italiane and internal teams.
* Identify and resolve accounting irregularities.
* Assist in preparing financial statements.
* Respond to external audit requests.
* Support periodic fiscal obligations.
* Preferred qualifications:
* 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
* Strong knowledge of national and international accounting standards (focus on IFRS).
* Proficiency in double-entry bookkeeping and reconciliations.
* Experience with accounting processes and ERP systems (SAP required).
* Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
* Structured, organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
