Your Mission
You will act as EPTA’s Group reference for electronics, coordinating and leveraging the expertise of senior electronics engineers located in different R&D sites at European level. Your focus is not just technical excellence — but harmonization, leadership, and strategic direction.
What You Will Do
* Group Electronics Leadership
o Lead the development of electronics across EPTA’s product portfolio
o Coordinate and guide senior hardware, firmware, and embedded software experts across multiple locations (no direct reporting lines)
o Define design guidelines, standards, and best practices at Group level
* Electronics & Connectivity
o Lead development and validation of electronic solutions for commercial refrigeration equipment
o Oversee embedded firmware, electronic hardware, controllers, and field communication protocols (ModBus, LIN, CANbus, MQTT, I²C, etc.)
o Contribute to architecture for in‑store communication and store‑to‑cloud connectivity
o Support the development of IoT‑enabled solutions integrated with store supervisors and digital platforms
* Quality, Industrialization & Compliance
o Oversee PCB schematic and layout activities ensuring manufacturability, reliability, and compliance
o Lead EMC validation, qualification plans, and electronic testing methodologies
o Ensure alignment with Group technical standards and regulatory requirements (e.g. CRA, RED)
* Supplier & Innovation Interface
o Support Purchasing in electronics supplier management and cost‑saving initiatives
o Collaborate with Innovation Centre on technology scouting and emerging electronics solutions
o Support Service and Quality teams in field issue resolution and continuous improvement
Who We Are Looking For
This role requires seniority, credibility, and leadership maturity. You are likely someone who:
* Has already been a technical reference within an organization
* Enjoys leading through influence rather than formal authority
* Can challenge experts and suppliers with confidence
* Wants to broaden impact instead of staying limited to one site or product
Your Background
* Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Automation Engineering or similar
* 7+ years of experience in electronics / embedded systems / product development
* Strong understanding of electronics as a system: hardware, firmware, embedded software, physical integration
* Experience in industrialized products (not only prototypes)
* Fluent Italian and English (at least B2/intermediate level)
