This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 2, 2026

Como Secondary College (SC) is driven by the belief that every student is capable of successful learning. The College is an Independent Public School catering for students from Year 7 to Year 12. Every student matters at Como. We work to build each student's belief in their own capacity to learn and their understanding of the relationship between effort and success. Our aim is to ensure that every student progresses.

Students travel from all over Perth, Western Australia and overseas to access our excellent, affordable educational programs. Rural students who have won a place in the school are able to attend the nearby Rotary Residential College. The school is located less than 6 kilometres from the centre of Perth and is close to major transport hubs. This enables our students to easily access and utilise Perth's major universities, training institutions, cultural attractions, and sporting facilities.

The Role

We are seeking self-motivated applicants who can use their initiative and work independently as well as work collaboratively within a team. We are a busy Independent Public School; therefore good interpersonal skills are desirable along with attention to detail. The successful applicant will ideally work mainly in the finance section and ideally requires knowledge of all aspects of the Department of Education’s financial procedures and practices.

The successful applicant will ideally be highly motivated, providing integral support to the Manager Corporate Services in a wide range of business operations such as administration, financial and human resource management. The position ideally requires a good understanding of the relevant systems and policies required to maintain, monitor, analyse and extract information using RM Finance, Asset Manager, RM Billing, Recruitment Advertising Management System (RAMS) and Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS), School Information System (SIS) Compass, and the suite of Micro Soft (MS) Office products. Sound knowledge and experience completing the End of Month, End of Calendar Year and End of Financial Year rollovers.

Key to this role is an ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, secondary school environment with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, ideally while effectively prioritising and meeting deadlines. You would work closely with the Manager of Corporate Services, independently and as part of the Corporate Services team. Good interpersonal skills are ideal for the role as it entails assisting a range of college stakeholders. A capacity to interact with empathy and professionalism within a diverse school community and with a range of government and outside agencies is highly desired.
