TXT E-Tech S.r.l., part of the TXT Group, is looking for a Software Engineers to join the Aerospace & Defence division.
The resources will work on embedded avionics software for a sixth-generation fighter aircraft, focusing on highly critical low-level components: scheduler, equipment software, driver layer, kernel-level services, and runtime infrastructure.
The ideal profiles have experience in real-time embedded development, knowledge of RTOS, task scheduling management, integration with avionics hardware, and skills in defining build and integration pipelines aimed at robustness, determinism, and software lifecycle quality.
Main Responsibilities:
* Development of low-level software components in a real-time safety-critical environment (RTOS), focusing on scheduler, resource management, and equipment software;
* Implementation and maintenance of build and continuous integration pipelines to ensure robustness, determinism, and software lifecycle quality;
* Functional and architectural modeling of basic system services;
* Definition and updating of software specifications, including low-level interfaces between modules and avionics subsystems;
* Collaboration with hardware and software teams to optimize development pipelines and configuration management (versioning, branching, build system);
* Contribution to improving processes and development methodologies for real-time and low-level components.
Technical skills required:
* Excellent knowledge of the C programming language;
* Principles of software design (encapsulation, modularity, portability);
* Knowledge of the Linux operating system;
* Understanding of architecture and the process of generating binary artifacts (Makefile, executables, libraries);
* Software versioning methodologies (Git).
Nice to have:
* Knowledge of MISRA standards;
* Fundamentals of Real-Time Critical Systems;
* Fundamentals of communication protocols UDP and RTPS/DDS.
