Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and guest-focused General Manager to oversee a luxury resort in northern Sardinia. The individual is a seasoned professional with a strong background in managing high-end establishments and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. The General Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the hotel's operation, ensuring profitability, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a positive work environment. The General Manager will report directly to the CEO.
Key Responsibilities
* Operational Management:
* Oversee day-to-day operations of all departments, including front office, food and beverage, housekeeping, maintenance and SPA.
* Ensure adherence to established policies and procedures, maintaining high standards of service and quality.
* Manage budgets, control expenses, and maximize revenue to achieve financial targets.
* Guest Experience and Satisfaction:
* Create a culture of exceptional guest service, ensuring all team members are committed to exceeding expectations.
* Address guest complaints and concerns promptly and effectively, resolving issues to their satisfaction.
* Implement strategies to enhance guest loyalty and encourage repeat business.
* Team Leadership and Development:
* Recruit, train, and mentor staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
* Conduct performance evaluations and provide continuous feedback to team members.
* Promote a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization.
* Compliance and Safety:
* Ensure compliance with all local and state regulations.
* Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and employees.
* Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols.
* Financial Management:
* Develop and manage budget, forecasts, and financial reports.
* Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
* Identify opportunities to improve profitability and reduce costs.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a General Manager or Senior Hotel Manager within luxury hospitality properties, ideally in leisure and resort contexts
* Excellent command of English, both written and spoken; additional languages are an advantage.
* University degree preferred, ideally with a Master’s in Hospitality Management or equivalent specialization.
* Prior experience working in Sardinia will be considered a strong advantage.
* Good expertise in budgeting, P&L management and cost controlling
* Recognized leadership skills, with the ability to coach, mentor, and manage multicultural teams.
* Strong problem-solving mindset, organizational skills, and a results-driven approach.
* Sustainability sensitivity, authenticity, and local experiences
* Excellent digital skills (Excel and industry-standard PMS/ERP systems).
