We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Specialist to join our team.
Job Description
A compliance specialist is responsible for conducting social compliance assessments and delivering quality reports in accordance with protocols and timelines. This role involves maintaining knowledge of relevant laws and procedures, interacting with internal teams, and working collaboratively to achieve tasks during on-site assessments and reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake general and basic social compliance assessments based on established procedures and client expectations.
* Deliver high-quality reports according to LRQA and client protocols and timelines.
* Maintain knowledge of LRQA social compliance assessment procedures and local labor laws.
* Interact primarily with internal team members, such as training, coordinator, and administrative staff.
* Work with team members (co-assessors) to accomplish tasks during on-site assessment and reporting processes.
* Adhere to all company policies relating to integrity and confidentiality of information.
* Stay vigilant against schedule leakage, unhealthy consultants on site, and bribery attempts.
* Perform other assignments as needed.
Requirements:
* A university degree (graduate level or higher) with a specialization in Labor Law, Human Resources, Social Work, Occupational Health and Safety, or Environmental Studies.
* In-depth understanding of international, national, and local laws and standards relevant to labor compliance.
* Awareness of region-specific issues that require cultural sensitivity and further investigation, where applicable.
* Proven ability to carry out supplier compliance assessments, including confidential worker interviews, reviewing employment records, and performing wage tests and related calculations.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills in Italian (mandatory) and English.
* Willingness and ability to travel extensively and frequently, with excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently under varying conditions.
