Responsibilities Work with the Query Processing (QP) team responsible for planning and executing SQL statements efficiently across the full life cycle: Parsing, Analysis (syntax and semantics), Rewriting, Planning (Optimizer), Execution, and integration with custom Storage, plus observability metrics for customers. Solve challenging technical problems at all layers of the stack; design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions to improve performance, durability, cost, and security. Build high-quality, highly available, always-on products; research implementations to deliver the best experiences for customers. Collaborate across diverse teams and environments to impact a global customer base; participate in design discussions, code reviews, and stakeholder communication. Work in a startup-like development environment, focusing on the most important work and driving cross-functional decisions with technical input. A day in the life Design and code solutions to drive efficiencies in software architecture, create metrics and automation, resolve root causes of defects, and deliver high-impact solutions to a large customer base. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market.
