Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Junior Mechanical Integration Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks in Engineering Department. The position is based in PISTOIA - IT

Accountabilities
* Carry out 3D mechanical integration analysis of all the different train components with creation of dedicated reports
* Management and development of mechanical systems through the SRD, supplier onboarding and codesign process
* Management of full train digital mock in 3D cad software.
* Development of tolerances stack up analysis and management plan to guarantee correct component mechanical integration on the train
* Creation of full train assembly drawings for train manufacturing
* Design of mechanical components such as welded frames or bracketry for the overall systems integration
Competencies (optional)
* 3D CAD software knowledge, especially Creo, Catia and Autodesk
* Knowledge of DOORS for requirement management
* Knowledge of the main office automation software/tools (Word, Excel, etc.)
Required Skills/ Knowledge
* Being able to be autonomous in short time
* Capability of working with fast-changing priorities in a dynamic environment
* Strong team working attitude and ability to collaborate with international colleagues and senior design experts
Desired Skills/ Knowledge
* General knowledge of railway vehicles working principles
* Passionate about railway industry
* Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations for rail vehicle design
* Knowledge of Engineering Processes and Railway Operations
* Availability for short-term national and international business trips is preferred
Education/Qualifications
* Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent technical background
Languages (optional)
* Good knowledge of written and spoken English is mandatory. English language knowledge on at least international B2 level
