Job Summary
PPI Quality & Engineering is seeking a certified and experienced EX Inspector for a 6-month contract role based in Massa, Italy. In this position, you will perform ad-hoc inspection activities and provide critical support to our resident inspector. Your primary focus will be assessing electrical equipment within hazardous environments to ensure robust explosion prevention and compliance. This role requires a commitment of 2 days per week, with field activities scheduled to commence in November 2026.
About The Role
* Safety Assessments: Evaluate and inspect electrical equipment deployed in hazardous, potentially explosive environments to prevent ignition risks.
* Inspector Support: Work collaboratively to support the resident inspector with ad-hoc field verification and compliance activities.
* Technical Compliance: Ensure all inspected assets meet strict international and local EX/ATEX safety standards.
Do you have what it takes? Minimum Requirements
* Certifications: Must hold valid Electrical and Explosive (EX) certifications (e.g., CompEx or equivalent).
* Experience: Proven track record in inspecting electrical systems within hazardous areas, ideally within the oil & gas, chemical, or heavy industrial sectors.
* Availability: Able to commit to a 2 days per week schedule in Massa for the duration of the 6-month project starting this November.
