Our client is dedicated to making nuclear power more accessible and focuses on delivering: Generates energy at a rate of one megawatt electric (MWe) at a time Capable of providing clean energy and radioisotopes where needed Initially supporting the reactor licensing process in the United States Aiming to become a leading technology provider in global energy solutions Committed to innovation and sustainability Mechanical systems and components for nuclear power plants, research reactors, and other applications Collaborating with engineers and regulatory agencies Ensuring designs meet nuclear safety, performance, and regulatory standards ️ Using CAD Software Developing 2D and 3D models Components and assemblies for nuclear reactor applications, including piping, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and cooling systems ✏️ Creating and Modifying CAD Drawings Using software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CREO for detailed design Collaborating with Engineers and Regulatory Agencies Conducting material selection, stress analysis, and thermal analysis for optimal performance under high-radiation and high-temperature conditions Ensuring Regulatory Compliance Engineering Activities Related to Mechanical Loads Troubleshooting nuclear mechanical systems Including design specifications, engineering reports, and bills of materials (BOM) Incorporating testing results, manufacturing input, and regulatory requirements Ensuring version control for nuclear components and systems Supporting the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Process Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a related field Experience : 2-5 years in mechanical design for nuclear applications, power plants, or industrial settings Certifications (Preferred) : CSWP (Certified SolidWorks Professional), AutoCAD Certification, or equivalent ️ Proficiency in CAD Software : AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CREO Knowledge of Mechanical Design Principles : Material properties and manufacturing processes specific to nuclear applications Understanding of Nuclear Reactor Components : Cooling systems and radiation shielding Familiarity with ASME BPVC, NRC Regulations, and ANSI Standards for nuclear mechanical design Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) : Knowledge of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) for nuclear applications is a plus Essential for collaboration with engineers and regulatory bodies Attention to Detail and Project Management Skills : Ability to manage multiple projects and meet regulatory deadlines PhD / Engineering Degree English (Written and Oral) Passionate Engineer willing to be part of history in nuclear industry.
