The NPI Buyer will collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to align procurement strategies with program goals, ensuring compliance with GE Aerospace’s SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) priorities. /p h3Essential Responsibilities /h3 ul liUnderstand the Service MRO Commodity needs based on the Service Strategy and define SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) matrix in collaboration with Strategic Sourcing team /li liSource and procure materials, components, and services required for new product development. /li liEnsure that orders are processed and delivered on time and address any issues or delays that may arise. /li liAdhere to company policies, regulations, and legal requirements related to procurement. /li liMaintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information. /li liEnsure alignment with engineering specifications, quality standards, and program timelines. /li liIdentify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers capable of meeting NPI requirements. /li liDevelop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure collaboration and performance. /li liNegotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality and delivery standards. /li liWork closely with engineering, manufacturing, and program management teams to understand NPI requirements and timelines. /li liWork in collaboration with Supplier Quality Teams and Procurement team to meet established goal of OTD, span, delinquency and vendor recovery /li liProvide procurement expertise to support design changes, prototype builds, and production ramp-up. /li liIdentify and mitigate supply chain risks, including lead time constraints, capacity issues, and quality concerns. /li liDevelop contingency plans to ensure uninterrupted supply for NPI programs. /li liEnsure all procurement activities comply with GE Aerospace policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. /li liTrack and report key performance metrics related to material health, supplier performance, cost savings, and delivery timelines. /li liSupport lean initiatives and process improvements within the supply chain to enhance efficiency and reduce waste. /li liCollaborate on initiatives aligned with GE Aerospace’s FLIGHT DECK lean operating model. /li /ul h3Qualifications / Requirements /h3 ul liDegree in Engineering or Economic field from an accredited university or college /li liAbility to handle several activities simultaneously, manage multiple priorities and resolve appropriately /li liProfessional working knowledge of SAP /li liProficient in MS Office (e.g. Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook, Word) /li liProactivity, Customer orientation, initiative, autonomy /li liFluent in Italian and English both written and spoken /li liWork Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required /li /ul h3Desired Characteristics /h3 ul liKnowledge of current market conditions and sources of supply /li liKnowledge of Service MRO processes and tooling management /li liPrevious experience in sourcing organization /li liHumble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn /li liTransparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively /li liFocused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed /li liLeadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative /li liProblem solver: analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinker /li /ul h3What We Offer /h3 ul liSmart working and work life-balance /li liAvio Aero, when possible, promotes remote work and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work-life balance.
