RINA is currently recruiting for a Venice Marine Senior Surveyor to join its office in Venice, Italy within the Mediterranean and Africa Marine Division.MissionThe Senior Surveyor serves as an experienced and knowledgeable professional within the organization, applying expertise in maritime Rules, Regulations, and industry principles. The Senior Surveyor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement of surveying processes.Key AccountabilitiesProfessional SpecialistActs as a professional specialist, applying in-depth knowledge of Rules, Regulations, and industry concepts.Keeps abreast of new developments and recommends changes to surveying processes and safety programs.Inspection and ReportingConducts routine surveys on classed ships, offshore installations, or marine assets to ensure compliance with classification and statutory requirements.Prepares technically accurate and timely reports of inspections and surveys.Leadership and CoordinationPlans, schedules, and coordinates various phases of surveying work.Monitors the quality of service, providing guidance to less experienced surveyors.Client InteractionEngages with clients to solve problems within the area of expertise.Ensures client satisfaction through effective communication and resolution of issues.Training and DevelopmentProvides guidance, and training to less experienced surveyors.Contributes to the development and improvement of the skills and knowledge of the surveying team.Quality AssuranceEnsures the maintenance of quality, content, consistency, and continuity of work performed.Ethical ConductUphold the highest ethical standards in all professional interactions, ensuring integrity, transparency, and fairness in survey processes.EducationMaster’s Degree in Naval Engineering.QualificationsMinimum 3 years’ experience working as a Surveyor or minimum 6 years’ experience in the engineering or inspection/survey fields with an IACS member Classification Society.Un
