Experteer Overview
In this role you will own and optimize Glovo's category assortment, partnering with the Senior Category Buyer to drive topline and margin. You will shape assortment strategy, manage supplier relationships, and negotiate terms to protect business interests. You’ll collaborate with Ads to design campaigns and ensure a great shopping experience through user‑centered categorization. This fast‑paced, high‑growth environment rewards data‑driven decision making and impactful category leadership. You’ll join a cross‑functional team focused on scalable growth and merchant partnerships.
Responsibilities
* Own and optimize assigned category assortment end-to-end to impact Add-to-Cart, AOV and Gross Margin
* Define assortment strategy and identify margin/listing improvement opportunities
* Manage mid-sized vendor relationships, contracts, and negotiate marketing funds
* Review terms to maximize business value and ensure compliance with laws/policies
* Collaborate with Ads team to plan and execute marketing campaigns within the store
* Offer an excellent shopping experience by prioritizing user needs in categorization and sorting
* Source new suppliers and ensure their launch on the app
* Manage current supplier portfolio with meetings and business reviews
* Analyze category to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement
* Support SKU pricing definitions
Qualifications
* 3+ years experience in Retail as a category manager or in FMCG in Sales/Account Management positions
* Strong analytical skills and data‑driven problem solving
* Negotiation skills (contract terms, costs, assortment, service levels)
* Stakeholder management (internal and external)
* Willingness to roll up sleeves and execute
* Comfort in a fast‑changing, high‑growth startup environment
* Fluent in English; additional languages a plus
