OverviewAssistant Controller – ItalyLocation:Via Roma 338, Martinsicuro, 64014 ItalyThe RoleYou'll support the Finance Controller and make sure reporting, controls, and processes hold up under scrutiny. You'll run day‐to‐day finance operations for the Martinsicuro site — month‐end, reporting, reconciliations, audits, and supporting the budget cycle. It's hands‐on, with space to improve how things work.ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
Run monthly and annual reporting, journal entries, and reconciliations.Manage cost accounting, AP, AR, and general ledger work (and possibly payroll).Maintain internal controls and support internal/external audits.Support budgeting and forecasting and explain variances.Prepare regulatory reports for Italian authorities.Improve processes and support system or workflow changes.Lead and develop members of the finance team.
QualificationsAbout You / What You'll Bring
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar; Master's/CPA a plus.5–8 years' finance experience, including some supervisory work.Strong reporting and controls background, ideally in manufacturing.Confident with accounting systems, ERP tools, and Excel.Solid understanding of Italian compliance requirements.Analytical, organised, and comfortable working across teams.
Nice to Have
Manufacturing cost accounting experience.Experience with system implementations.
