AI Researcher for 3D Generation and Reconstruction
European Tech Recruit are working closely with an exciting 3D scanning tech company, based in Bressanone, who are looking for a talented AI Researcher for 3D Generation and Reconstruction to join their team.
In this role you will help advance next-gen workflows involving neural scene reconstruction, 3D creation using diffusion models, algorithmic design, and automated environment generation. You will join a compact, high-impact team redefining how digital spaces and assets are created at scale.
Responsibilities as AI Researcher for 3D Generation and Reconstruction:
* Develop next-generation 3D content creation workflows powered by diffusion processes and transformer-style neural networks for generating scenes, materials, and assets.
* Engineer systems capable of producing photorealistic, relightable 3D models from sparse visual data.
* Drive advancements in AI-based environment creation and product modeling, enabling smart control over layouts and design variations.
* Experiment with and evaluate cutting-edge neural architectures for detailed 3D generation and reconstruction tasks.
* Work closely with multidisciplinary teams across engineering and research to turn concepts into robust, scalable tools.
* Engage with enterprise partners to gather insights, shape feature priorities, and steer development focus.
* Take ownership of critical components in our 3D toolchain and play a key role in rapidly scaling our capabilities.
* Represent the team at leading global events in computer vision, machine learning, and emerging tech innovation.
Requirements:
* PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, or a related field – OR – Master’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
* Proven track record in 3D scene generation, neural rendering, or 3D reconstruction.
* Experience with applying diffusion and transformer models to the 3D domain.
* Experience with 3D scene representations.
* Strong coding skills in Python and/or C++.
* Proficient in PyTorch and Rendering Frameworks.
* Solid understanding of 3D vision and physically-based rendering fundamentals.
Desirable Experience:
* Experience with GPU programming.
* Background in multi-view geometry, structured light, or 3D processing.
* Demonstrated ability to transition research into applied environments.
* Contributions to open-source projects.
