PpGalileo is a fast-growing renewable energy developer, investor and operator, currently in the very dynamic start-up phase. Since our foundation in 2020, we have secured a pipeline of over b16 GW /b of solar PV, onshore wind, offshore wind and storage projects across b10 markets /b in Europe. /p pWe are looking for an bElectrical Engineer /b to lead electrical engineering activities for PV and BESS projects in Italy from greenfield technical development through post-permitting, detailed design, construction, commissioning, and handover. This person will be based in Milan (with the possibility of hybrid remote working) and report to the EPC Director. /p h3What you’ll do /h3 ul liLead the definition of electrical design concepts and requirements (BoD/SoW, Employer’s Requirements, technical specifications) supporting tendering, contracting, and execution. /li liCover the full electrical scope across the plant and grid interface, from development stage up to construction, including: ul liDC and AC design concepts for PV and BESS (collection systems, aux supplies, control/communication interfaces) /li liMV and HV systems, including substation and grid-connection interfaces (primary/secondary systems coordination as applicable) /li liContribute to grid studies and assessments (e.g., short-circuit, load flow, harmonics, flicker, protection coordination), coordinating consultants/third parties when needed. /li liReview design deliverables (SLDs, protection control schemes, substation/cabin layouts, cable schedules, grounding/earthing, lighting, auxiliary services) /li liProtection, metering, grounding/earthing, lightning protection and electrical safety concepts. /li /ul /li liEnsure compliance with Italian grid codes and relevant standards (e.g., CEI/IEC), and support grid-connection activities in collaboration with the Grid team (DSO/TERNA interface). /li liCoordinate and/or review electrical deliverables from EPC contractors, consultants and suppliers; challenge design choices to ensure quality, constructability, cost effectiveness and risk mitigation. /li liSupport procurement by evaluating technical offers, clarifying vendor proposals, and contributing to supplier selection for key electrical equipment (e.g., transformers, MV switchgear, inverters/PCS, protection systems). /li liProvide technical support during construction, including RFI management, site inspections, NCR resolution, FAT/SAT participation (as needed), and commissioning documentation review. /li liManage technical risks and electrical interfaces between packages (PV/BESS/Wind, substation, grid compliance, SCADA). /li liPromote best practices for electrical safety, quality and document traceability. /li liContribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards, templates, and ways of working across the EPC organization. /li liDepending on experience and availability, support similar activities for wind projects. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liDegree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent technical background). /li liAt least 3-4 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering for Italian utility-scale PV projects (more senior profiles welcome); Specific BESS experience (PCS, EMS, control strategies, safety requirements, performance testing) is a plus. /li liPractical exposure to multiple project phases (development/design, execution, commissioning), ideally within an EPC, IPP, developer, OEM, or engineering consultancy environment. /li liFamiliarity with MV/HV systems and grid-connection interfaces for renewable plants in Italy. /li liExperience with electrical simulation/design tools (e.g., ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory or similar) and CAD. /li liStrong ability to work cross-functionally and communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders. /li liFluent Italian; professional English is a plus. /li liWillingness to travel regularly within Italy for meetings and site activities. /li /ul h3Benefits /h3 ul liPlay a leading role in Galileo's evolution from developer to IPP. /li liWork on interesting and ambitious renewable energy projects. /li liEnjoy an international environment, with opportunities for exchange with colleagues all over Europe and thrive in an informal culture that values collaboration and innovation. /li liBenefit from a competitive salary, flexible remote-working policy, and a supportive, fast-paced environment. /li /ul pOur commitment to diversity and inclusion: Galileo is a new and flexible employer, committed to providing equal opportunities, an inclusive work environment, and fairness for all.
