MISSION
SITAEL is looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead procurement and logistics operations for its Electric Propulsion Division, supporting advanced aerospace programs.
This strategic role oversees the planning and execution of supply chain activities across multiple projects, from sourcing components to delivering finished systems, ensuring alignment with technical, contractual, and production requirements.
You will directly manage a small team (1–2 Industrial Engineers, to be hired - you will be involved in the hiring process) and work closely with engineering, production, and quality departments to drive operational excellence.
The role reports directly to the CEO, with a functional reporting line to the Head of the Propulsion Business Unit and the Plant Manager of the Ospedaletto site .
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develop and execute the supply chain strategy in line with project and business goals
* Lead procurement planning across programs, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing
* Manage inbound logistics (materials/components) and outbound logistics (finished products)
* Build and maintain strategic supplier and logistics partnerships
* Monitor supply chain KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives
* Collaborate cross-functionally to anticipate supply risks and optimize material flow
* Ensure compliance with export regulations and aerospace quality standards
TECHINCAL SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS
* Degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related fields
* 10+ years’ experience in the aerospace or aviation industry
* 5+ years in a leadership role within supply chain or operations
* Strong expertise in procurement, logistics, and materials management
* Familiarity with aerospace quality standards (e.g., ECSS, AS9100, EN9100)
* Proficient in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
* Fluent in English and Italian
* Experience with procurement of qualified space components is a strong plus
* Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
