We are seeking an experienced and skilled Junior Sous Chef to join our pre-opening team in a 5-star hotel. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef, creating innovative and delicious food menus and buffets.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in kitchen management, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within an international kitchen environment. Knowledge of Asian fusion cuisine is an advantage, and excellent communication skills in both Italian and English are essential.
Main duties and responsibilities include:
* Assisting in food preparation and collaborating with the Sous Chef/Executive Chef
* Supporting the creation, tasting, and implementation of food menus and buffets
* Producing high-quality dishes and buffets for customers in both design and taste
* Oversceeing and supervising the kitchen staff and food production
* Checking daily MEP to ensure sufficiency while focusing on cost and waste management
* Spot checking recipe compliance and updating where necessary
* Assisting with inventory, ordering, supplier relationships, and management of supplies
* Ensuring compliance with hotel security, fire regulations, all health and safety, and food safety regulations
* Reporting maintenance, hygiene, and hazard issues
