The role is responsible for managing, in an integrated way, risks related to both renewable project delivery and energy markets. The successful candidate will join the Risk Management Team, reporting directly to the Head of Risk & Insurance Management.\nWorking closely with the Growth and Energy Markets teams, the Risk Manager will support the execution of risk control procedures and deliver ad hoc risk analyses to support decision‑making across Energy Management processes (Dispatching, Trading and Hedging activities, PPA and Counterparty analysis). This role will also contribute to investment risk analysis for new projects developed by the Growth function, supporting Project Managers in assessing overall project feasibility.\nResponsibilities and Duties Contribute to investment and project risk assessments for new business initiatives (M&A;, project development and execution), evaluating the risk profile and recommending mitigation measures.\nSupport Project Managers in maintaining project risk registers, performing quantitative risk analyses (e.g., Monte Carlo simulations where applicable), and producing risk reports to support decision‑making.\nParticipate in the risk assessment of project feasibility, identifying key risk drivers (e.g., permitting, grid connection, schedule, CAPEX, contractor capacity, resource assumptions, contractual allocation) and supporting mitigation planning.\nWork closely with the Energy Management team to develop and maintain risk metrics and ensure effective risk monitoring and reporting (daily and monthly), in line with internal policies and limits (VaR, PaR, P&L;, MtM, stop‑loss levels, secured/unsecured portfolio ratios).\nConduct independent analyses of trading and hedging strategies, highlighting the key risk factors underlying portfolio management activities, consistent with outputs from risk tools and market data.\nSupport PPA and counterparty risk analysis, including risk allocation review and exposure monitoring.\nEnsure the accuracy and reliability of risk systems and data flows, overseeing key tools such as ETRM, Power BI sales portfolio tools, and relevant industrial/project risk tools. Key Job Requirements Solid experience in risk management practices and European energy markets (power, gas, PPAs), including forward curves and forecasting concepts.\nUnderstanding project management principles and renewable project lifecycles.\nKnowledge of key risk metrics and methods (VaR, PaR, exposure, Monte Carlo simulations) and portfolio risk analysis.\nAbility to perform root cause analysis, identify trends, and recommend remediation actions.\nAbility to work independently and effectively in a complex, international environment, engaging with multiple stakeholders.\nStrong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Qualifications and Skills Minimum 5 years' experience in energy risk management and market/portfolio analysis within an energy company (Utility, IPP, or Trading).\nUniversity degree in Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or other STEM disciplines.\nKnowledge of ETRM software, Power BI, and database systems.\nGood coding skills (Python; VBA and SQL are a plus) and strong analytical capabilities.\nPost‑graduate education or specialized training in energy trading, risk management, or project risk is a plus.\nFluent in English is a must.
