Job Description: Cost Analyst & Product Controller, BolognaOur client is a multinational company with a significant global presence and a rapidly expanding business.
We are seeking a Cost Analyst & Product Controller, who will report hierarchically to the Head of Product Controlling.
Primary ResponsibilitiesDefine detailed material cost evaluations in line with technological investments and R&D expenses.Support component cost plausibility verification throughout the project lifecycle, collaborating with Procurement and R&D departments to prevent deviations and delays, and working closely with Model Lines and R&D to develop cost measures.Analyze project targets by components, including plausibility checks and benchmarking against competitors.Evaluate manufacturing costs of parts and materials, including overhead, process, and materials costs, aligned with R&D requirements.Conduct bottom-up R&D cost analysis during early project stages with the strategy department.Coordinate with VA/VE and Procurement to set targets based on supplier proposals, technology, and budget considerations.Participate actively in 5-year planning for R&D car costs for series and pre-series models.Discuss and revise year-end forecasts with Model Line and R&D functions to manage expenses within Capex targets.Represent finance in SET meetings, managing information flow and overseeing variable costs and investments during the product lifecycle, focusing on Aeko commitments.Maintain reports and trend analyses for material and development costs.Qualifications and RequirementsUniversity Degree in Economics or Engineering.Minimum of 3-4 years' experience in R&D controlling, cost engineering, or purchasing.Experience in production, development, or purchasing is advantageous.Experience managing vehicle projects from concept to SOP is a plus.Skills in cost engineering (value analysis, design to cost, etc.)
are beneficial.Familiarity with vehicle planning and development processes is a plus.Proficiency with cost engineering software (e.g., Siemens PCM, Lean Cost) is advantageous.Basic knowledge of economics and accounting.Proactive attitude and responsiveness to new requests.Fluent in English; Italian and German are a plus.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail and accuracy.Location: Province of Bologna
