With ab total backlog reaching €65 billion /b (Consolidated Financial Results at June 30, 2024), Webuild is a group guided by the passion for building and the pursuit of excellence, which renewed its commitment to building a sustainable future by applying its know-how to build innovative and valuable works.br/ /p pAs part of organizational development, Webuild is seeking a bMEP Design Manager /b for its international projects, with an operational on-site assignment. /p h3Role /h3 pReporting hierarchically to the Technical Management of the contract and functionally to the HO Engineering department, you will be responsible for the management and coordination of mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems within complex construction projects in both the civil (Building Sector) and infrastructure sectors, such as hospitals, airports, railways, underground systems, museums, universities, roads and motorways, etc. /p h3Main responsibilities /h3 ul liTechnical management of the MEP phases of the contract, including supervision and control of time, cost and quality compliance; /li liCoordination with project management: sharing critical issues and solutions during the project phases; /li liDocument control: verification of the completeness and quality of technical documentation; /li liReview and approval of technical documentation: technical verification of plant designs and related certification; /li liProject coordination: ensuring that MEP disciplines are integrated with each other and with civil, structural and architectural works (architectural finishes); /li liPreparation of documentation in support of requests for quotations or contracts relating to subcontracts or purchases of MEP components; /li liActive participation in the selection of subcontractors for engineering and construction services. /li liInterface with the client, the project manager (or engineer), JV partners, suppliers and subcontractors: management of operational and technical relations; /li liAnalysis and evaluation of alternative Value Engineering design proposals; /li liPreparation and coordination of Design Change Requests (DCRs); /li liDevelopment of shop drawings: assistance in the preparation of construction documents, taking into account interference between systems and civil works; /li liConstruction support: /li /ul ul licollaboration in the preparation and updating of Method Statements, construction sequences, operating instructions and Inspection Testing Plans (ITPs); /li licollaboration in preparing field change requests (FCRs); /li licollaboration in resolving non-compliance issues. /li /ul ul liVariation management: assessment of the impact of design changes on MEP systems and coordination of any economic and technical updates with the site, subcontractors and designers. /li liTesting, commissioning and start-up of systems: assistance, planning and coordination during all TC phases, to subcontractors and suppliers of works/equipment/systems/plant materials; /li liCritical and constant analysis of the evolution of basic quantities in all phases of the project to ensure budget compliance, anticipating problems and actively collaborating in their management. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 pEducation: Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering. /p pExperience: At least 10-15 years of relevant experience in plant engineering, particularly in technical offices on construction sites or as an operational project manager. /p pLanguages: Advanced English (oral and written communication with international clients) Minimum B2. /p pOther: Certifications in safety and project management are considered a plus. /p h3Skills /h3 ul liIn-depth knowledge of the methodologies and design sequences of mechanical (HVAC, fire protection), electrical, instrumental (BMS/SCADA/ELV) and hydraulic systems; /li liExperience in managing complex infrastructure and civil engineering projects; /li liAbility to coordinate multidisciplinary teams of technicians, architects and engineers; /li liFamiliarity with local and international regulations in the field of plant engineering; /li liFamiliarity with Building Information Modelling (BIM); /li liFamiliarity with plant control systems (BMCS) with communication and security systems; /li liAbility to think critically; /li liExcellent organisational and problem-solving skills; /li liAbility to manage personal stress; /li liStrong interpersonal skills; /li liStrong collaborative skills; /li liFlexibility and mobility; /li liProcess orientation; /li liAbility to manage time and costs in line with the project outcome; /li liAbility to organise an effective structure for the development of activities necessary for the successful execution of a project.
