AWS is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Data Center Security Specialist (DSS) to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team, who will help manage and improve site security operations in our data centers.
Key Job Responsibilities
* Managing physical security operations, developing post orders, defining security procedures, handling site incidents, working with security equipment, participating in construction projects and driving day‑to‑day process improvement activities.
* Managing vendors.
* Ensuring consistent deployment of all required security policies and procedures and participating in recurring site audits and reviews, and testing new security technologies.
Must have and demonstrate resilient leadership skills, flexibility to work in dynamic environments, exceptional knowledge of security practices and strong written and verbal communication.

Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Criminology/Criminal Justice or a relevant field
* Experience using CCTV, access control and intrusion systems
* Experience with Microsoft Office tools
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with various Access/Intrusion control Systems in a Control room environment
* 1+ years of security operations oversight experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $43,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $94,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
