The design system provides the components used throughout the website and mobile app, provides tools for designers and developers, and documents the human interface guidelines for how to use the components. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of world-class multi-disciplinary designers to invent and deliver UX frameworks and features that align and extend the experience across all devices. You will champion a design system and invent and simplify a set of mechanisms, building blocks and tools that empower designers and engineers building the future experiences for no code/low code products within Amazon. /ppAmazon Leo’s success requires leaders who are owners, and who possess the entrepreneurial spirit needed to create new products. No location flexibility. /ppExport Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. /p h3Key job responsibilities /h3ulliIdentify, create, and optimize design foundations, reusable components, and high-level patterns for the Leo Design System /liliDeliver artifacts that raise the bar for visual and user experience design, whether you're working on wireframes, user flows, high-fidelity mockups, or prototypes. /liliPartner with a multi-disciplinary product and engineering team to own the implementation of your work. /liliCollaborate with designers, engineers and other stakeholders across teams and organizations to increase adoption and shape the future of our design system. /liliCreate and optimize the processes and tools available to our designer, developers, and other consumers to collaborate. /liliPartner with our product and engineering teams to create a consistent cross device customer and user experience. /li /ul h3Basic Qualifications /h3ulliBachelor’s degree in HCI, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or equivalent design-related field; or commensurate experience. /lili6+ years of UX design or interaction design experience /lili6+ years of design experience creating mockups, wireframes and prototypes for web and mobile applications and/or workflows. /liliExperience using tools such as Figma for prototyping design concepts and for defining and documenting the user interface architecture (UI patterns, components and guidelines). /liliProficient establishing, designing and using design systems and design frameworks /liliHave an available online portfolio demonstrating samples of design deliverables (design systems, personas, journey maps, wireframes, and prototypes) /li /ul h3Preferred Qualifications /h3ulliExperience designing consumer-facing or enterprise experiences. /liliExperience in applying and advocating for best practices for accessible UX. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market.
