PpThis role focuses on a project engineer for national and international RD projects and consultancies, related to ship electric load balance optimisation and to on board power grid architecture modelling, simulation, performance assessment and grid management optimisation. /p h3Activities /h3 pThe new resource will be part of the Business Unit Electric Power generation and Distribution inside the Maritime Engineering Research area, with a role mainly exposed to RD projects and innovation activities as well as consultancies in the field of the maritime sector electrification. /p pHe/she will: /p ul liParticipate national and international RD projects, focused on maritime electrification and power generation and distribution systems optimisation, both in the naval and in the merchant ship fields. /li liDevelop consultancies and projects related with the modelling, simulation, performance assessment and grid management optimisation of innovative marine power systems (MV/LV - AC/DC architectures, High frequency drives/generators, innovative converters). /li liSupport and participate to experimental measures on board ships to validate simulation models. /li liContribute to CETENA (and Fincantieri Group) activities of technical development, in the framework of funded projects, also interacting with international partners. /li liContribute to the growth of CETENA network of partners and stakeholders in the field of innovation for the maritime sector electrification. /li liIssue reports related to research, innovation and consultancy projects. /li liContribute to the industrialization of the results of research projects. /li liContribute to the identification of new opportunities and to the preparation of new proposals in the framework of European, international, and national RD programmes. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 pDegree in Electrical Engineering (or degree in Naval Engineering with PhD on Electrical Engineering) with focus on electric grids, energy storage systems, smart grids, modelling, simulation and optimisation of power systems.
