Barilla G. & R. Fratelli is looking for an Analytical Food Science Scientist, within the Sensory & Analytical Food Science & Labelling Unit. The position will report to the Sensory & Analytical Food Science & Labelling Director and it will be based in our Headquarters in Parma. Job Purpose The purpose of the role is analytically support categories projects and manage analytical research projects according to RD&Q strategy. Key Accountabilities - Develop and validate new analytical techniques and tools involved in new product or process development/upgrading of the existing ones in Bakery, Pasta and Condiments fields. - Ensure the development of predictive models to estimate the shelf-life of products, through the identification of analytical markers correlated to sensory attributes of products. - Contribute to solve issues in case of potential Company crisis. - Manage analytical research projects related to innovate analytical methodologies and increase Barilla analytical knowledge. - Build, improve, and consolidate external analytical networking (Universities, research centres, and laboratories). - Supervise the carrying out of all chemical, biochemical, physics analysis related to business support and research projects and ensure the reporting of results to the internal requesters and potential external partners. - Contribute to setting new procedures in term of Good Laboratories Practices, new Laboratories selection and New method development according to Q&FS governance. Requirements: - At least 3-5 years of experience in analytical labs or in a food / beverages companies - Master's degree in Food Science with focus in analytical chemistry, Chemistry - Fluent English and Italian - Team working - Presentation skills for results presentation - Digital skills and Statistical skills (Matlab and /or Python and/or R)
