Exide is looking for a EHS Specialist for the Italian plant. The EHS Specialist, under the EHS Manager supervision, is responsible of maintaining and complying with the occupational safety standards required by law in accordance of ISO standards, Internal and External Audits; ensuring ISO certifications and follow-up of corrective and preventive actions defined; managing and implementing local specific needs.
Main tasks:
Support the RSPP/HSE Manager in drafting and updating the Risk Assessment Document, proposing adequate prevention and protection measures and identifying and managing the appropriate PPE;
Manage bill books and document archives;
Manage and plan mandatory training, monitoring and reporting deadlines and proposing, where necessary, integrations or internal training on occupational health and safety;
Manage injuries, first aid and near misses, in order to determine their root cause, processing the related reports;
Manage KPIs in HSE matters;
Elaborate work instructions and safety & environmental procedures for the plant;
Participate in site inspections with contractors and supervise their working methods;
Participate in updating and innovation consultations on occupational health and safety issues and take part in the periodic meeting on the same topics (with the Employer, RSPP, RLS and Company Physician);
Draw up the reports of the periodic meetings with the Employer, RSPP, RLS and Company Physician and the accounts of the internal audits;
Periodically carry out inspections in the workplace, recording the evidence and non-conformities, he/she also has to provide an action plan in order to comply with the reference legislation and with the integrated Environment and Safety management system ISO 14001:2015 / ISO 45001 :2018;
Monitor the evolution of regulations on HSE, managing the register of legal requirements;
Manage the drafting of the DUVRI and the related documentary request through the appropriate management software, he/she will assess the risk factors relating to interference due to contracts/subcontracts and the related workers present within the plant;
Update the Emergency and Evacuation Plan and plan evacuation drills;
Manage relations with the Company Physician, the Workers' Safety Representatives and the Emergency Teams;
Collaborate in the management of the waste generated by the manifacturing site in terms of classification (CER, ADR), manage the loading/unloading registers and the waste identification forms (F.I.R.) and prepare the MUD (Single Environmental Declaration Model);
Manage atmospheric emissions sampling and water sampling.
Requirements:
Degree in Environement, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or similar;
A different educational level will be take into consideration if coupled with a matching professional experience;
3 to 5 years experience in EHS, preferably within manufacturing companies in chemical or mechanical industry - qualification as ASPP (Prevention and Protection Service Officer) is required;
Knowledge of the reference legislation: Legislative Decree 81/2008 and subsequent amendments and Legislative Decree no. 152/06 and subsequent amendments;
Knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certified systems;
Perfect command of MS Office Suite;
English both spoken and written, at least level B2;
Nice to have: experience as teacher/trainer in safety and hygiene in the workplace and experience with purifiers for the chemical-physical treatment of industrial waste and relative legislation.
