Ph3Hydraulic Senior Engineer /h3 pRINA is recruiting a Hydraulic Senior Engineer to join its office in Genoa or Milan (Italy) within the Environmental and Engineering Geoscience Division. /p h3Mission /h3 pAs a Hydraulic Senior Engineer you will take a pivotal role in the development and design of hydraulic systems tailored for infrastructure projects. You will ensure that all designs meet rigorous industry standards and regulatory obligations while driving innovative solutions that enhance system efficiency and sustainability. /p h3Key Accountabilities /h3 ul liDevelop and design hydraulic systems for infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations. /li liConduct hydraulic analyses and modeling to assess system performance under various conditions. /li liIdentify and mitigate potential issues related to water flow, pressure, and drainage. /li liWork closely with project teams, integrating hydraulic considerations into overall project designs. /li liCollaborate with civil engineers, architects, and environmental specialists. /li liConduct site inspections to assess existing hydraulic systems, identify areas for improvement, and ensure compliance with design specifications. /li liPrepare detailed engineering reports, drawings, and documentation related to hydraulic design for internal and external stakeholders. /li liStay informed about industry regulations and standards related to hydraulic engineering. /li liEnsure designs align with applicable codes and guidelines. /li liCollaborate with clients to understand project requirements, address concerns, and provide technical expertise. /li liCommunicate complex hydraulic concepts clearly and effectively. /li liExplore and recommend innovative solutions and technologies to enhance hydraulic system performance and sustainability. /li liMake calculations using HEC‑RAS software for various elements within engineering projects. /li liDevelop geotechnical engineering projects from preliminary phases to detailed designs. /li liProvide direct day‑to‑day support and oversight of project elements. /li liAssist engineers or engineering teams with data gathering, permit applications, and other duties. /li liDevelop project schedules and deliverable timelines under the supervision of more experienced engineers. /li liPrepare project deliverables, including technical reports, performance documentation, and engineering drawings. /li liBe aware of and understand the Quality Policy. /li liEnsure that all assigned activities are executed in accordance with the RINA Quality Management System (QMS). /li liContribute to the improvement of the QMS according to your role. /li /ul h3Education /h3 pMaster’s Degree in Civil Engineering /p h3Qualifications /h3 ul liProfessional Experience: A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in hydraulic system design and analysis, ideally within the infrastructure sector. Proven expertise using hydraulic modeling software and contributing to project management activities is highly valued. /li liTechnical Proficiency: ul liAdvanced capabilities in designing hydraulic infrastructure consistent with stringent industry codes and standards. /li liProficient in hydraulic simulation and modeling software such as HEC‑RAS, EPANET, and SWMM, with a demonstrated ability to interpret and apply model results to real‑world engineering challenges. /li liStrong skills in cross‑disciplinary collaboration, enabling effective integration of hydraulic considerations across civil engineering and environmental domains. /li liExperienced in conducting comprehensive site inspections, condition assessments, and compliance verification for hydraulic systems. /li liExceptional technical writing and documentation skills to produce clear, detailed engineering reports and drawings. /li /ul /li liLanguages: Fluency in Italian and English is required to effectively engage with multinational teams and clients.
