EHS Manager - Italy
Ceva Santé Animale is committed to meeting the challenges that our society faces. We have strong ambitions regarding EHS. To support our strategy and road maps, we are looking for an EHS Manager to develop and implement the EHS programs and improve our EHS performance. You will join the industrial Italy organization and the EHS team. You will report to the Italy Campus Manager (strong line) and to the EHS Group Director (dotted line). You will deal with Environment, Health, and Safety matters mainly related to the production plant of Porto Empedocle (AG) (app. 50 employees), for the production plant Cavriago (app.35 employees) and, limited to some activities, for the headquarter of Milano. The position is based preferably in Porto Empedocle (AG). However, a preference for being based in Cavriago's (RE) site can be evaluated too.
Key Responsibilities
General
- Provide leadership, support and technical guidance to the Italian team to assure programs & EHS Culture are developed and effectively implemented that provide a safe and healthy work environment, maintain compliance and protect the environment
- Improve existing EHS programs and align with Global Policy and Rules, programs and initiatives, regulatory requirements, and business expectations
- Provide strong EHS leadership supporting business and EHS goals and objectives
- Lead business in complying with all applicable EHS rules, regulations and Ceva policies
- Ensure all required reporting
- Focal point / contact with authorities
EHS Management
- Main activities are the following
- Management and updating of Risk Assessment Documents (General and Specific) for Cavriago and Milano's sites
- Management of health surveillance (for Cavriago)
- Management of employee trainings (for Cavriago and Milano)
- Drafting and updating of Standard Operating Procedures and HSE Operating Instructions, and staff training (for Cavriago and Milano)
- Management of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for Cavriago and Milano
- Analysis and management of accidents, injuries, near miss, unsafe acts, unsafe actions of the Campus
- Scheduling and management of internal inspections to identify environmental, health and safety risks (for Cavriago)
- Scheduling and management of the training program on emergency procedures, workplace health and safety and other relevant topics
- Implementation at local level of the internal standards deriving from the Group (for all three sites)
- Monitor the level of compliance with the procedures in place
- Manage the creation, revision and accessibility of safety data sheets
- Manage and coordinate health, safety and environmental aspects during external companies' visits
- Active participation in the EHS Ceva network to share and implement best practices on campus
Professional Experience / Qualifications
- Position requires a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, science or business with at least 5 years of professional experience, including EHS, operational line
- Knowledge of EHS issues: chemical product management, ATEX, audits, LOTO, ergonomics, waste management, energy and water management, CO2 emissions
- Profound knowledge of EHS methods: root cause analysis, CAPA management, KPIs, risk assessment
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to details
- Excellent knowledge of the Office package (word, ppt, Excel, Outlook)
- Good knowledge of the English language
