Experteer Overview
In this role you will design and implement global, regional and local EHS policies for Amazon corporate offices in Italy and Morocco, driving improvements and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will engage stakeholders, train leaders, and advance EHS culture across corporate sites with autonomy and hands‑on leadership. The role sits in the EMEA EHS team and involves regional collaboration and incident investigations. You will communicate clearly to managers and employees to maintain a safe, healthy workplace and reduce environmental impact.
Responsibilities
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local/regional regulations and ensure compliance with Amazon EHS policies
* Guide and oversee EHS compliance and regulatory requirements across sites
* Mentor and support other EHS team members
* Deliver EHS training and coordinate programs addressing critical issues
* Analyze EHS metrics to identify trends and allocate resources to high-risk areas
* Develop and implement EHS programs to strengthen corporate office culture on safety
* Conduct regular site visits to identify hazards and improve controls
* Implement solutions to eliminate exposures and prevent injuries
* Support EHS Manager-EMEA in delivering strategic enhancements
* Carry out EHS risk assessments and incident investigations
* Coordinate with local authorities and H&S agencies
* Lead internal audit/assessment processes aligned to global/regional objectives
* Prepare responses to insurers/lawyers regarding personal injury claims
* Ensure site leadership and associates are trained on EHS responsibilities
* Facilitate worker consultation and participation; contribute to EHS committee activities
* Support environmental sustainability efforts in corporate office activities
* Assist EHS Manager-EMEA with budgeting for EHS scope
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety or a related field
* RSPP certification and skills per article 32 of Legislative Decree 81/08
* Previous experience in RSPP roles
* Proficiency in English with strong written and verbal communication and native Italian
* In-depth knowledge of local, state and federal EHS regulations and standards
* Experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis
* Availability to travel regularly within EMEA as required
