KIWI is looking for an Industrial Designer to join its international team.
The role
We're looking for an Industrial Designer to lead the design of our next-generation devices, packaging systems and retail materials. Hands-on role with direct exposure to leadership and to our manufacturing partners in China: wide creative autonomy on execution, but design direction and key decisions are aligned with the broader product and brand strategy before go-live. You'll work closely with the Product Development team between Croatia and China.
Work location: Buje, Croatia, at the company's HQ
What you'll do
* Concept, development and engineering of electronic devices (vape hardware) from brief to production-ready CAD
* Design of primary and secondary packaging systems, aligned with brand guidelines and regulatory constraints
* Design of trade and retail materials: display units, fair stands, POS for tobacconists and modern retail
* Selection of materials, finishes and manufacturing processes in a Design for Manufacturing logic
* Direct interface with our Chinese manufacturing partners on technical specifications and tooling
* Mood boards, photorealistic renders and prototypes to support leadership decisions
What we're looking for
Must-have:
* 3-5 years of experience in industrial design, ideally on consumer electronics or hardware tech
* Full command of 3D CAD (SolidWorks, Rhino or equivalent) and rendering (Keyshot or similar)
* Concrete knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes and Design for Manufacturing principles
* Portfolio with at least one product that actually went into production
* Fluent English and Italian
* Availability to work on-site in Buje, Croatia
Nice-to-have:
* Experience working with Chinese suppliers and managing international production cycles
* Sensitivity for packaging and retail design beyond pure product
* Track record in regulated industries (tobacco, pharma, medical, beauty)
