PpWe are looking for a Civil Engineer to support the design, maintenance and development of port and maritime infrastructures. The selected candidate will work on projects involving quay walls, piers, coastal protection works, and port-related facilities. The role includes technical design, maintenance, calculations, preparation of engineering documents, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams and port authorities. Support for site activities and supervision of construction works is also required /p h3Summary of responsibilities: /h3 ul liPrepare preliminary, detailed and final designs for maritime structures /li liUnderstand and interpret coastal and hydraulic analyses, including wave dynamics, currents and sediment transport /li liConduct geotechnical assessments /li liProduce drawings, technical reports and cost estimates /li liSupport construction supervision and site activities /li liCollaborate with port authorities, licensing bodies and external consultants /li liContribute to port layout planning and logistics development /li /ul h3Key performance indicators /h3 ul liImprove the efficiency, durability and integrity of port facilities. /li liReduce facility repair times and optimise preventive maintenance. /li liUpdate technical documentation and internal procedures in accordance with the latest regulations. /li liImplement remote monitoring and predictive diagnostics systems. /li liDevelop projects to modernise ecological and digital infrastructure. /li /ul h3Education Experience /h3 ul liDegree in Civil Engineering with Civil Engineer license /li liAt least 5 years' experience in the design and maintenance of complex civile and/or port structures. /li /ul h3Technical Skills Knowledge Required /h3 ul liStructural engineering and geotechnics + (maritime construction is a plus). Be able to perform structural calculations and checks, comply with technical regulations for civil/maritime construction, and ensure safety and compliance /li liDesign, management and maintenance of port and/or logistics infrastructure /li liProject management: ability to coordinate design, works management, site management, port and/or logistic maintenance, coordination with multiple parties (contractors, agencies, port authorities) /li liAdvanced engineering analysis and modelling: use of calculation tools, hydrodynamic modelling, wave motion simulation, statistical analysis of meteorological and marine data, study of environmental and marine‑coastal conditions /li liGood Knowledge of Structural Calculation Software /li liVery good command of AutoCAD /li liExperience with energy efficiency and sustainability technologies. /li /ul h3Preferred /h3 ul liSpecialised structural design and calculation for marine and or logistic environments. /li liUnderstanding of port/maritime regulations and rules: knowledge of regulations in the fields of construction, safety, the environment and maritime standards — essential for safety, authorisations, environmental impact and compliance /li liKnowledge of the Trieste Port Master Plan. /li liAbility to use maintenance management software. /li liAbility to liaise with certification bodies and maritime authorities. /li /ul h3Behavioral Competences Required /h3 ul liProfessional with a hands‑on mentality, task‑oriented attitude in order to meet the expected project milestones /li liProblem solving to tackle complex engineering challenges, and quick decision making in critical situations. /li liCommunication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams and non‑technical stakeholders /li liSafety and structural maintenance management: knowing how to plan inspections, assess deterioration or damage, plan maintenance work, and understand issues such as corrosion in marine environments /li liAdaptability and continuous learning: as technologies, regulations and environmental requirements evolve /li /ul h3Language Requirements /h3 ul liProficient in Italian (preferably native‑speaker) /li liWritten and spoken English /li /ul h3Other Requirements /h3 ul liValid EU work permit. /li liWilling to relocate to Trieste at short notice. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
