Overview
NOC (Network Operation Center) is the central command and control center for Transportation Execution across the Amazon Supply Chain network, supporting multiple geographies. It ensures timely pick-up and delivery of freight from vendors to Amazon fulfillment centers (FC) and from FCs to carrier hubs. When exceptions occur, NOC resolves the issue and keeps stakeholders informed. NOC also analyzes network data to identify trends and drive process improvements through automation or changes to streamline operations. Overall, NOC plays a critical role in maintaining the smooth functioning of Amazon transportation and supporting on-time customer delivery.
Trans Ops Representative responsibilities
* Facilitate flow of information between stakeholders (Trans Carriers/Hubs/Warehouses) and resolve issues impacting customer experience and business continuity.
* Work across inbound and outbound operations: inbound focuses on Vendor/Carrier/FC relationships and ensures timely pick-up and delivery per appointment; outbound focuses on FC/Carrier/Carrier Hub relationships and ensures trucks leave the FC to meet delivery promises.
* Provide timely resolutions by researching internal tools and making real-time decisions.
* Understand requirements, analyze data to notice trends, and drive customer experience without compromising on time.
* Communicate clearly in written and oral form; maintain basic understanding of logistics.
Key responsibilities
* Ideate process improvements and drive them to conclusion.
* Communicate with external customers (carriers, vendors/suppliers) and internal customers (retail, finance, software support, fulfillment centers).
* Systematically escalate problems or data variances to the appropriate owners and follow through on resolutions.
* Produce clear verbal and written narratives of weekly findings and variances for review forums.
* Provide real-time customer experience support in a 24x7 operating environment.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree.
* 12-24 months of work experience.
* Good communication skills; ability to facilitate information flow between external and internal teams.
* Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
* Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
