The EU Trustworthy Shopping Experience team is looking for a Risk Manager for the EU Safety Listing Control team. You will provide program and risk management leadership and coordination to ensure tech and other internal stakeholder teams are sensitive to product and food safety program needs and prioritization requirements. These needs directly impact the lives of customers by enabling them to build confidence in the products Amazon sells online and in physical stores. You'll manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish, working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate/report clearly with cross-vertical stakeholders. You'll interact with different internal and external stakeholders across different time zones. You should possess strong project management skills, be detail-oriented, and have excellent problem-solving abilities, along with a well-rounded technical background in tech solutions. Key job responsibilities We are looking for an independent and organized self-starter with a solid background in program management to join our team. The candidate should have negotiation skills, the ability to influence, analytical talent, and ownership. The role requires a results-oriented analytical approach to deliver controls at scale, measure progress, and improve risk management and/or customer and supplier experience. In this position, the candidate will: Lead, own, and maintain the plan for safety and compliance controls at scale across different product and food categories and businesses. Influence internal stakeholders and leaders at multiple levels across tech, legal, operations, and business areas. Work across tech, compliance, and business teams to drive cross-functional projects. Work with stakeholders to identify resources, assemble project teams, and assign responsibilities. Assess costs, benefits, and risks; anticipate bottlenecks; identify, track, and mitigate issues; manage escalations; anticipate and make trade-offs; and balance business needs with technical constraints. Clearly communicate goals, responsibilities, issues, and status to team members and stakeholders. Drive effective teamwork, collaboration, and commitment across multiple disparate local and remote groups with conflicting priorities. Support cross-functional teams on the day-to-day execution of projects and initiatives with data. Conduct ad-hoc data retrieval and analysis using databases, Excel, and other data management systems. Draw coherent conclusions from metrics and outline next steps to stakeholders. About the team The Listing Control team is part of the EU Product Safety team. We work to ensure that all products offered internationally across various Amazon channels are safe for our customers and compliant with all food safety legal requirements. We bring SME knowledge and technical expertise, leveraging technology solutions to serve Amazon's business, suppliers, and customers. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in product management, engineering, or equivalent experience. 5 years of risk or program management, or relevant risk management experience in fast-moving and complex tech environments. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Technical fluency; comfort understanding and discussing technology concepts, evaluating tradeoffs, and exploring new opportunities with technical team members. Strong communication skills (English) to provide clear, concise, accurate, and timely communication (verbal and written) to the right audiences.
